ACTION-PACKED WEEKEND SEES INTENSE PRO STOCK BATTLES ACROSS PENN OHIO SANCTIONED TRACKS

Stoneboro, PA (June 2, 2026) — It was a blockbuster weekend of dirt track racing as the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series roared to life across its sanctioned tracks, treating race fans to paint-swapping action, decent car counts, and down-to-the-wire finishes. Drivers in the weekly point championship hunt pushed their machines to the absolute limit, proving once again why the Penn Ohio region boasts the most competitive full-fendered racing in the country.

With the weather breaking the 2026 racing season is hitting its stride. 71 drivers converged on 7 Penn Ohio sanctioned speedways from Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31 to feature side-by-side racing that has become the hallmark of the sanctioning body. Leading the charge of weekend victors were Brandon Connor, outdueling a stout field of competitors to claim the feature win at Hidden Valley Speedway; and, Lernerville’s multi-track champion, Corey McPherson adding another trophy to his historic mantle after a masterclass performance at his home track of Lernerville Speedway. Saturday’s performances showcased Fuzzy Fields finding the fast line early to storm into victory lane at Hummingbird Speedway; Jimmy Fosnaught, after being on a driving hiatus, returned to the driver’s seat to navigate the 20J to the winner’s circle in the $1,000 Pro Stock Special at Marion Center Raceway; 2025 Track Champion at PPMS, AJ Poljak picked up where he left off taking the checkered flag in spectacular fashion at the “Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile”; Up north, the cross-state battle in Busti, NY heated up at Stateline Speedway, where Dean Gibson executed a solid performance to park his X1 machine in victory lane. Rounding out the weekend of competition, Matt Sampson bested the field at Eriez Speedway, displaying short-track poise to lock down the victory.

“The level of competition at Penn Ohio sanctioning tracks this weekend was incredible,” said a series representative. “To see seven different winners across seven different tracks in a single weekend shows how deep the talent pool is in the Penn Ohio Series right now. No matter which track a fan walked into this weekend, they saw pro stock fields trading paint for every single inch of dirt.”

Looking Ahead

The momentum doesn’t slow down from here. The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series continues its highly anticipated 2026 campaign with upcoming high-dollar specials on the horizon, including this Saturday’s (June 6th)  $5,017 to-win, $500 to start Ed Laboon Memorial at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) and the $1,500-to-win Pro Stock Special at Eriez Speedway later this month.

Drivers looking to get in on the action and capture their share of the season-ending point fund are reminded that weekly and touring series registrations remain open.
