Four Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series’ sanctioning tracks had racing action the weekend of July 7th-9th.  Kicking off the weekend, pro stock drivers were able to return to Lernerville on Friday, July 7th after their big “Firecracker” event.  Finding his way to victory lane for the fifth time at Lernerville and marking his 6th Homak Penn Ohio Series’ win in the 2023 season was Tyler Dietz in his Fox Trucking, Moody Sales & Service, Peluso Roofing sponsored #00 over a field of 23 cars.  Saturday’s racing occurred at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Marion Center Raceway and Hummingbird Speedway.  Cody Koteles visited the Homak Penn Ohio Series’ victory lane for the first time in the 2023 season at Pittsburgh.  Brandon Connor won at Marion Center for his 3rd time this season, making #5 win in 2023.  Another returning winner was Bruce Hartzfeld for the 4th time in 2023 at Hummingbird.
This upcoming weekend, the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stocks will have an opportunity at bonus points on July 15th for the $1,000 to win event at Marion Center Raceway.
Then the weekend of July 21 and 22 will be the 5th Annual Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals at Sharon Speedway.  Friday’s event will be a regular show for Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stocks, giving drivers a chance to prepare for Saturday’s “Twin 35’s.” Saturday’s porition of the event will feature Twin 35’s for the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stocks. Drivers will be split into two groups based on qualifying times. Each pro stock group will run heat races, a dash, B Mains if necessary, and a 35-lap feature paying $3,500 to win, $300 to start. Regardless of car counts two features will be run and each will pay $3,500 to win, $300 to start.  Homak Penn Ohio Series’ members will 25 earn bonus points for participating on Saturday.  Registration for Saturday’s Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals has a discounted rate through July 14th and is available at 2023-Steel-Valley-Pro-Stock-Nats-REGISTRATION-1.pdf (pennohioprostocks.com).
